Role and Objectives:


The Marketing Coordinator, under the direction of the Sales Manager, is responsible for the preparation of marketing proposals and support materials based on input from Project Managers.

The Marketing Coordinator will provide market research, strategy and creative assistance where applicable. As a Marketing Coordinator, this position will act in a supporting role for the sales department. This role does not hold responsibilities for the creation of proposal leads.

THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN EITHER NELSON OR VANCOUVER OFFICE.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Create and update marketing and promotional materials
  • Coordinate client events
  • In coordination with third party, Maintain and update company website. Develop SEO strategies
  • In coordination with third party, manage internal/external communications plan
  • Conduct market research as requested
  • Determine needs and expectations of target market as directed
  • Provide inputs on designs that identify and create interest in the product
  • Implement/manage marketing procedures and processes, evaluate existing practice and opportunities for standardization
  • Participate in determining the group marketing strategy with sales and product teams
  • Align with sales team to engage channel partners, exploring collaboration opportunities and joint marketing programs
  • Initiate and propose positive push and pull activities with the sales team
  • Track all marketing initiatives and create weekly/monthly reports as required
  • Review branding, positioning of the company to ensure impact and awareness
  • Assist with Promotional events and materials
  • Maintain and manage company Branding company wide
  • Maintain and update company specific social media platforms
  • Update and maintain company literature and brochures
  • Organize project photo ops and project portfolios
  • Schedule and manage all trade show events and activities
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as requested or required

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, or Marketing required
  • MBA preferred
  • 5 years of direct work experience in a marketing management or consulting capacity
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of brand building and brand management
  • Knowledge of the lumber and mass timber industries is preferred
  • Superior graphic design skills and an eye for aesthetics in presentation materials
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to prepare marketing proposals with a blend of focused research, strategy and creativity.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic, selfmotivated, and resultsoriented
  • Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable
  • Superb writing, content development and editing skills
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
