Safe Living Technologies Inc. "SLT" is an innovative and growing company. We are recruiting for a Jr. Electromagnetic Radiation "EMR" Technician.

SLT was founded in 2006 and is an industry leader in North America in the field of electromagnetic radiation detection and protection.

An electronics or electrical background is required. In house and 3rd party EMR training will be provided, leading to certification as an Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist, EMRS.

Responsibilities:

You will be introduced to our standard business practices which include:

  • Invoicing, processing orders and shipment of products and equipment
  • Receiving goods
  • Tagging inventory
  • Building meter and product kits
Once the applicant demonstrates proficiency with these duties and the product line, the applicant would be trained and asked to assist with the following tasks:

  • Occasionally test and troubleshoot home and office environments for electromagnetic radiation
  • Perform tests and evaluations of electrical systems assist a licensed electrician with modifications
  • Prepare test data for electromagnetic exposure reports
  • Assisting with product development
  • Other office duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Community College Graduate (2 Yr Electronics Technician / Technologist Program) Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Detail and solution oriented, task focused and selfmotivated
  • Able to work under mínimal supervision
  • Basic knowledge of wireless transmission technologies (RF and Microwave)
  • Ability to lift heavy packages occasionally max weight 30 Kg

Supplementary Skills:

  • Experience measuring RF or EMF fields
  • Understanding of home and building wiring
  • Proficient in the operation of a spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multimeters and various other electronic measuring devices
  • Information Technology (IT) skills/background
  • Accounting and shipping receiving experience
  • Basic Knowledge of electromagnetic fields from RF sources as well as electrical systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving of Analog and Digital RF signals
  • Experience with Electromagnetic Hypersensitive Individuals "EHS"
  • Background in customer service would be an asset
