Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and marinate meat, typically beef, chicken, or lamb, for shawarma according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate and maintain shawarma equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness at all times.
  • Slice and stack marinated meat onto the vertical rotisserie, ensuring even distribution for optimal cooking.
  • Monitor and adjust cooking temperatures as needed to ensure meat is cooked to perfection.
  • Prepare and assemble shawarma sandwiches or plates with precision and attention to detail, including adding appropriate garnishes and sauces.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Shawarma Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
