Key Responsibilities:


Become an active member of an established research team focused on understanding mechanisms underlying microbiota-mediated changes in the intestinal sensory-motor system in the context of functional GI disorders.

Facilitate linkage between basic and clinical research in this field, including the utilization of advanced endoscopic skills.

Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.


Provide clinical care for patients with neuro-gastroenterological disorders, including performing motility procedures such as esophageal manometry and 24-hour pH monitoring.

Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic ultrasound, device-assisted enterostomy, complex polyp resection using advanced techniques such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and third space procedures such as POEM and ESD

Qualifications:

Completion of Residency training in Gastroenterology

Strong track record in neuro-gastroenterology and motility research, with a translational focus.

Proven expertise in performing motility procedures such as esophageal manometry, and 24- hour pH monitoring.

Demonstrated expertise in endoscopic ultrasound, device-assisted enteroscopy, complex polyp resection, and third space endoscopy.

Strong clinical skills, including the ability to manage complex endoscopic cases and provide high-quality patient care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
