Job Summary:

You are an experienced Construction Manager with a strong Infrastructure background.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations by developing and monitoring project performance against project plans/schedules to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

You support your team members in their development goals to help them look for opportunities to advance their skills.

You will be working independently or with direction from the team, implementing the project plan and schedule, ensuring safety and quality control, and delegates work to project team, contractors, and trades people.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervises field superintendents and coordinators and ensures their work is planned and performed efficiently and their timesheets are accurately coded.
  • Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
  • Works with subcontractors ensuring adherence to construction schedule, quality & safety management, and change management.
  • Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are exceeded.
  • Manages and drives the construction schedule in conjunction with the field construction; ensures project milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Issues materials and requests purchase orders, confirms receipt of materials, and return of equipment.
  • Mentors project team members to contribute to their development and career growth along with performing semiannual performance reviews.
  • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's ongoing progression.
  • Maintains a thorough daily report that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections, and other relevant information.
  • Significant client and owner engagement, so good communications skills are of utmost importance.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of construction experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar direct supervisory role.
  • Solid working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, engineering specifications and project management processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a highpaced environment requiring swift decision making and delegation.
  • Ability to guide safe work practices in a highpressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand, and interpret stakeholder needs and identify solutions.
  • Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule
  • Skilled at promoting teamwork with project team and stakeholders.
  • Ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook, familiar with scheduling software.
  • Successful completion of preemployment drug & alcohol requirement
