GreenFirst is seeking a Superintendent to plan, organize, and lead operations (sawmill and planer mill) to ensure consistent production of high-quality products at optimized costs and promote effective human resources management while aligning with defined principles and objectives.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure workplace safety, seek enhancements, and support the Health & Safety Program.
- Lead a motivated and efficient team, providing career growth opportunities.
- Coach and guide employees for optimal performance.
- Support union/management/employee relations.
- Maintain effective communication channels to inform the team of priorities.
- Reports to: General Manager.
- Establish production schedules and coordinate manufacturing operations to meet quality standards.
- Manage operations to maintain or reduce the budget and achieve profit margins.
- Optimize human resources utilization for efficiency.
- Develop plans for material and labor efficiency, meeting production targets.
- Implement value-added product manufacturing.
- Collaborate for continuous quality and production improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Determine staffing needs and required training in coordination with other departments.
- Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Production Supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- College or university degree preferred.
- Proficiency in English, French language skills considered a plus.
