Hours of Work: 40 hours/week, Day shift & occasional scheduled Weekends

Wage Rate:
$43.00

The successful applicant must have good communication skills and reading skills, have completed certification of Journeyman. The individual must also work well with employees and supervision. The Steamfitter/Pipefitter reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Steamfitter/Pipefitter layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, cooling and other processes.
  • Layouts, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydro test, install fabricated pipe spools and adding designed supports as required.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Is trained and competent on the use of all equipment required to carry out this trade.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis studies to find solutions to failures
  • Train and utilize technologies to improve accuracy, and repeatability of repairs and equipment set up.
  • Perform data entry tasks on tablets/computers for daily activities and SAP updating as required.
  • Participate in Failure mode evaluations to increase reliability in plant equipment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Certified Journeyman.
  • Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities
  • Good communication and reading skills
  • Excellent safety practices
  • Familiar with Root Cause Analysis and FMEA principals
  • Able to utilize technology such as Laser alignment, Vibration analysis, Infrared, and Oil analysis to name a few.
  • Familiar and comfortable with computers and tablets for data entry, and work order processing.
  • Be familiar, and comfortable working with programs such as excel, word, and SAP.
