This Opportunity:

We are currently looking to fill one 1 full-time brain injury groups position.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Reporting responsibilities (incident reports, and notes to file, completing newsletters and groups calendars of scheduled activities
  • Participate in any required mandatory trainings
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Implement group activities as per the direction and approval of the Rehabilitation Service Coordinator that support communitybased rehabilitation supports and community engagement
  • Communicate with client and team members
  • Facilitate community groups as well as virtual groups three times per week
  • Provide wellness calls where needed
  • Ability to organize weekly virtual online group sessions where needed that interests the group participants and promote high level of participation and engagement
  • Ability to create weekly newsletters offering community resources where applicable, fun facts, word puzzles, seek input from clients on news letter to gain their input
  • Ability to drive to community locations where groups are held weekly, with in Simcoe region

Qualifications and experience:

  • Postsecondary preferred in Human and Social Services
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Human Services field and/or working with people with ABI.
  • Experience with report writing an asset
  • Current CPR/First Aid an asset
  • Experience with group facilitation is an asset
  • Proven consistency in work performance, including teamwork, reliability and flexibility
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading teams
  • Sound behavioral management skills, cognitive problemsolving skills.
  • Working knowledge of brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation is an asset
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
