The Daniels Corporation is actively searching for a
Project Coordinator.

Reporting to a Project Manager, the Project Coordinator must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment as it is the primary point of contact and support for the project managers and subtrades.

This role is vital to project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate construction projects which include contact with consulting engineers, architects, and Subcontractors
  • Preparation of reports and project files
  • Use of the company's management system to complete all project administration
  • Follow direction by project manager and superintendent to update project schedules, including log, review, and process all shop drawings
  • Log, process, and issue all site instructions, change notices, and RFI's
  • Issue purchase orders and contracts as directed by the project manager
  • Keep track of the labour force, together with site superintendents
  • Involvement in creating a labour plan and scheduling for projects
  • Learn how to prepare budgets, forecast, and reduce risk through managing scope and contract change
  • Coordinate and designate work to subcontractors from direction of project manager and attend job site meetings
  • Log meeting minutes as required by project manager
  • Use interpersonal skills and participate in proposals and presentations
  • Liaise with building authorities and regulatory agencies
  • Participate in tender closings, and additional assignments.

Requirements:

  • Completed postsecondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years of site experience
  • Knowledge of safety, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Office and project management software.
