Select People Solutions is looking for FIELD WORKERS to work in Canola fields in the Southern Alberta starting mid June. Applicants must be located in Bow Island or Grassy Lake or be willing and able to get to the pickup site every day. The main responsibility of this role will be to walk through Canola fields pulling various plants out of the ground that are not supposed to be there ("rogue" plants). What's in it for You?

Compensation & Hours:
  • The rate of pay will be $ /hour with potential overtime
  • This is a fulltime, temporary contract position (June-July)
  • Monday – Saturday, 5-6am start time
Position Summary:
  • Pulling "rogue" plants from fields across Southern Alberta
  • Working outside in various weather conditions
  • Following instructions and safety protocols, and working together with a crew
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be 15+ years old
  • No experience needed
  • Strong physical stamina, endurance, and strength to walk through fields for 8 hours a day while frequently bending, reaching, squatting, and pulling
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with your lead hand and other crew members as a team
  • Safety-minded, ability to put safety first and follow all policies and procedures
