We are hiring a full-time, permanent
Analyst, IT Asset Procurement position working out of Edmonton, AB.
The Analyst, IT Asset Procurement oversees an onsite inventory of IT goods, provides hardware to fulfill service requests, reorders when the onsite inventory is low, and maintains the asset management tool and associated documentation.
They will assist in the review of Non-Standard Hardware & Software requests, provide support in documenting each assessment, and provide feedback with the recommendation of which products to purchase.
In addition, they are also responsible to provide appropriate reporting for audits, licensing maintenance renewals compliancy, true-up information, business unit (BU) cost allocation model and projects.
What you'd be responsible for- Providing valuable contributions to documentation and the knowledge base for longterm sustainability of EPCOR IS which includes, but is not limited to:
- Analyzing potential solutions to BU requirements, and providing support in the assessment and documentation of the proposed solutions;
- Ensuring all technical and operational hardware & software documentation is kept current, such as run books, processes, or procedures;
- Maintaining asset database documentation.
- Providing support in the assessment and certification of hardware & software so that it will be accepted into the EPCOR environment
- Ensuring IS asset management database is maintained and up to date
- Overseeing an onsite inventory of IT goods, and providing hardware to fulfill service requests including:
- Physical receiving and organizing of goods;
- Procurement, small vendor management, assignment of assets, and support the RMA process;
- Coordinating end of life disposal of assets, coordinating the recovery, disposal, and destruction.
- Providing support with license management, recovery, tracking, auditing, reporting, and supporting cost allocation
- Working effectively with project managers, suppliers, business users and peers from all levels across the company to ensure needs are being met
- Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics including project and operational delivery times, client satisfaction, request and resolution targets and service quality
- Other duties as required or assigned by the Manager, Finance, Procurement and Asset Management
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a technical diploma from a recognized technical institute is required
- 4+ years of directly related IT Asset Management experience is required
- ITIL Foundation Certificate is required
- IT Vendor Support Certification would be an asset
- Expert knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, Windows OS, peripherals, etc.
- Familiarity with major desktop software packages
- Understanding of IT Business continuity, security, and other risk assessment and optimization methodologies
- Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Ability to create technical system documentation, process mapping, standards, documentation, and data management
- Strong process improvement and documentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use time management skills to set, organize and prioritize a high volume of tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
