On a historic day in July 1972, a team of six individuals came together to establish a Club aimed at supporting individuals with roots in the Ciociaria region of Frosinone, Italy.
Today, the Ciociaro Club of Windsor Inc. (referred to as the 'Club') proudly welcomes a membership exceeding 1,800, upholding its legacy of camaraderie and unity within the Italian community and the wider Windsor-Essex region.
Nestled on expansive 70 acres, the Club harmoniously blends classic architectural design with a state-of-the-art complex equipped with advanced video, audio, and teleconferencing technology in its banquet and conference areas. Apart from hosting events, members and guests can enjoy exclusive lounges, both indoor and outdoor spaces catered towards cultural, sports, religious, and charitable activities.
The Club extends its services to all for booking special occasions such as banquets, weddings, and various events, providing access to its well-maintained indoor and outdoor facilities.
Actively involved in charitable endeavors across the Italian and Windsor-Essex communities, the Club stands out as a key supporter of local fundraising initiatives.
The role of the General Manager encompasses both strategic planning and day-to-day operations. The appointed General Manager will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to outline annual strategic and operational frameworks with a primary focus on maintaining operational excellence within the Club.
- Five years of minimum experience in a comparable position within a customer-focused business or organization is essential.
- A background in business, hospitality, or related fields is advantageous.
- Prior involvement in overseeing a social club or hospitality business with a strong background in catering and event management is beneficial.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leading managerial teams through shifting priorities and aligning with the organizational mission is mandatory.
- Experience in interfacing with and reporting to a Board of Directors is a valuable asset.
- A deep appreciation for Italian culture and language is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in utilizing point-of-sale, financial, and staff management systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite, is required.
