Job Description:

Directs the development and implementation of activities in warehouse area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes warehouse based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Position Summary:


The purpose of the Warehouse Manager is to provide leadership, manage daily manufacturing operations, and drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost Improvements that will add value to the Mequon facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in the warehouse to meet productivity goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes warehouse based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at high levels, controls capital expenditures for indirect labor.
  • Develops schedules and personnel requirements for the warehouse.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates Warehouse Supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse and ensure they hold associates accountable to standards.
  • Drive policy deployment for area including KPI charts, action plans and countermeasures. Coordinate operations and maintenance support for the warehouse.
  • Coordinate warehouse efficiency and improvement activities.
  • Use and promote Company Production System (RPS) and Lean Manufacturing concepts to drive continuous improvement through Kaizen.
  • Lead 5S initiatives to improve department environment and efficiency.
  • Responsible for developing warehouse strategy/metrics and implementation of related manufacturing strategies.
  • Leads the warehouse in daily operations and continuous improvements which include but are not limited to: supply chain production control, establishing priorities, coordination of activities with offshift management, order shipments, and supporting the production lines.
  • Creates the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work/processes are followed, countermeasures implemented, and the area is compliant with safety requirements.
  • Maintains appropriate command of a room and acts/communicates with clarity and forthrightness, open to innovation and change, and proactively partners with key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in warehouse/materials/manufacturing capacity
  • Minimum of 5 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity.
