TalentWorld is recruiting a Corporate Finance Controller in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
  • Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to senior management, supporting decision-making and driving business performance.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital management and forecasting cash needs.
  • Oversee tax compliance and planning activities, including corporate tax filings, transfer pricing, and international tax considerations.
  • Lead M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition financial reporting.
  • Develop and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices, ensuring the company's financial policies and procedures remain current and effective.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting and finance roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Intacct).
  • Experience managing complex financial processes and multi-entity consolidations.
Employment Details
  • Salary: $100,000 - $ per annum
  • Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full-time, Onsite
  • Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
