You might be asking:
What is "Surety"? Surety - otherwise known as bonding - is NOT Insurance.

Although Surety Bonds are usually issued by an Insurance Company, they are not really a form of insurance but a form of credit.

The company issuing the bonds guarantees the contractor will fulfill contractual obligations and the liability is of a financial nature.

In essence, the Bond serves as security for the contractual obligation. Interesting

You might now be wondering, what does a day in the life of this role look like?

The "traditional" answer includes:

issuing bonds, managing logistics on getting those bonds to our clients as soon as possible, taking payments, following up on receivables, pulling project specifications from the construction planrooms, collaborating with the insurance producers ensuring they receive those specifications, invoicing, talking with clients and underwriters at the bonding companies to obtain approvals, requesting financial updates from clients, updating bond trackers, and other responsibilities and interesting projects that arise on a day to day.


The "non-traditional" answer includes: working in a "niche" role within the insurance industry, being mentored by one of our experts, moving quickly with accuracy, taking care of urgent requests, adapting to priorities, building trusting relationships with clients, having confidential and sensitive discussions with clients around their next big project and helping them cross the finish line, mitigating risk, having fun and being part of large organization but working within a work "family".

We have each other's backs and we win together.

We are about the collective, and we make it happen when we need to, we move quick and deliberate in the high season and we enjoy the flexibility of the down season.

This is not a sales role, it is an opportunity to assist one of our finest in managing a book of business.
