Job Summary

The Chemist, Stability I carries out work primarily related to stability sample testing and studies.

The incumbent must develop and demonstrate a fuller understanding of test methods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compendia and Certificates of Analysis and ensures their work complies with health and safety standards and other regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities
Perform stability sample testing, inspection stability packaging components, and other laboratory samples. Making routine decisions around task priorities in counsultation with team lead. Under the guidance of team lead, interprets and documents testing results and all other related documentation.
Report all testing results and deviations encountered during testing to team leads in timely manner. Personally resolves basic issues, seeking input from peer members as required.
Proper documentation and ensured accuracy and completeness all testing results, calculations; and related analytical report summaries. Maintains records of stability samples and ensure that samples are properly stored as per approved specification.
Report problems related to instruments, methods, etc. to the Team lead/Manager as quickly as possible. May perform troubleshooting on instrument or method, as instructed.
Keep the workplace clean, tidy and safe and perform required daily verification of laboratory equipment.

Liaises with Senior level laboratory personnel to understand the use of all applicable physical & chemical testing equipment and to acquire a fuller understanding of departmental and regulatory practices.

Review or witness basic analytical data for accuracy of test results, as required.
Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes;

Job Requirements
Education
Minimum B.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent area of study.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of operating and troubleshooting instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV, IR, etc.
Knowledge of wet analytical chemical techniques.
Familiar with cGMP.
Familiar with USP, BP, EP and ICH guidelines and procedures.
Conducts selves in a manner that is consistent with the safety fundamentals of a laboratory.
Documentation is neat and concise.
Utilizes analytical knowledge and experience in carrying out their assigned investigation activities.
Demonstrates personal leadership attributes incorporating a commitment to on-going professional development and continuous learning
Seeks performance inputs to identify any performance gaps.
Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, Empower or equivalent software.
Experience
Preferably 1-2 years of experience in related field of chemistry.
