Senior Instructional Designer

We are seeking a talented Learning Consultant for an 8-month remote contract position within Canada. This role involves designing and developing effective learning solutions based on specific learning and performance objectives, job-related procedures, and success measures. You will use a variety of authoring tools available within Talent Development, including the Articulate 360 Suite, Captivate, and Lectora, as well as various multimedia tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Comprehensive Learning Solutions: Utilize diverse approaches to cater to multiple learning styles and achieve objectives. Conduct needs assessments, gather and interpret data to identify performance gaps, and collaborate with Advisors and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop actionable recommendations. Define clear, measurable, and achievable performance and learning objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across departments to understand perceived needs or gaps, and select appropriate training tools and methodologies, including e-learning, multimedia, virtual workshops, knowledge objects, and blended solutions.
- Content Presentation: Develop detailed design plans, instructional strategies, objectives, and research results. Provide content recommendations, highlighting key concepts and multimedia ideas. Create prototypes where possible.
- Quality Delivery and Implementation: Ensure timely and high-quality completion of learning solutions within agreed parameters. Establish success criteria, prepare for effective implementation, monitor program results, and make necessary updates to improve layout and content.
Required Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience as a Learning Consultant.
- Proficiency with the Articulate Suite.
- A portfolio showcasing your work must be included with your application.
- Exceptional instructional design skills.
- Strong communication and writing abilities.
- Proven capability to manage multiple and competing deliverables.
- Experience designing content for adult learners in various formats, including e-learning storyboards, self-guided and instructor-led, as well as audio, video, and animation modalities.
- Experience with Lectora is a plus.
