The SSC will assist in educating, training, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental aspects of daily operations.
What you will do:
  • Model and lead a culture of care while complying with Nutrien Ag Solutions' and industry standards
  • Support the Commitment to Zero corporate strategy
  • Organize and conduct training programs on safety-related topics
  • Conduct safety compliance inspections and provide recommendations
  • Monitor adherence to safety programs by all employees and subcontractors
  • Assist in the development of site-specific safety programs
  • Advise management on various safety issues
  • Conduct regular safety training and inspections
  • Collaborate on incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Review accident data to identify the need for new safety programs
  • Research safety information to minimize workplace hazards
  • Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in occupational health and safety
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety regulations
  • Relevant safety certifications are advantageous
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills to drive change and foster a safety-focused environment
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Highly motivated, service-oriented, and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications
