The Job Summary:


The Security Analyst is a key role focused on maintaining and enhancing the security and integrity of the organization's IT infrastructure.

This position requires a proactive approach to network security, regular travel to other sites for system assessments and implementations, and participation in an on-call rotation to ensure continuous network protection and support.

The analyst is responsible for monitoring network security measures, managing security software, analyzing potential threats, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.


Key Accountabilities & Success Criteria:

Network Security & Compliance:

  • Monitor and manage network security solutions to protect IT assets from potential threats.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance standards, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

Incident Response & Resolution:

  • Participate in an oncall rotation, providing immediate response and support for urgent security and network issues outside of standard working hours.

Site-Specific Security Management:

  • Travel to other company sites as needed to assess network configurations, implement security measures, and provide onsite support and training.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to understand specific security requirements and ensure consistent network protection across all locations.

Technology Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Stay abreast of the latest security trends and technologies, recommending and implementing enhancements to the organization's network security infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular system tests and analyze performance data to optimize network and security configurations.

Communication & Team Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with IT team members, management, and nontechnical staff to ensure clear understanding of network security statuses and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security practices into network management and contribute to broader IT projects and goals.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in network security or a related IT security role.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, and firewall administration.
  • Experience with incident detection, response, and resolution.
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in security software and hardware tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to other company sites as required for system assessments and implementations.
  • Ability to participate in an oncall rotation, providing prompt and effective support during offhours.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to a varied audience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintaining focus and organization.
