Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test both work in progress and completed work for dimensions, welding and painting
  • Perform final inspections of products ready to ship to the customer
  • Mark defective parts, create NCRs and recommends scrapping or methods for reworking.
  • Maintain records of inspection data, including the results of tests.
  • Update the ERP system (Syteline) as required
  • Followup on corrections and corrective actions
  • Sandblasting of product before inspection
  • Conduct testing of returned products from customers
  • Work with Engineering on repair requirements for production
  • Communicate with sales regarding status of repair/warranty of customer
  • Some painting may be required

Education & Experience:

  • Completed post secondary education in related field
  • Interest in NDT Testing Certification
  • Intermediate level skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
  • Previous experience with ERP software (Syteline) an asset

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints / drawings
  • Working knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT)
  • Reliable and accountable to work unsupervised.
  • Thrives in a fast paced challenging environment
  • Self motivated
  • Flexible at prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people and ability to deal with challenging situations
