The Role:


The Project Manager is responsible for contributing and adhering to construction timelines, drive deficiency clean-up of checklists and supporting the development of our communities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support assigned Project Manager(s) in the production of homes from backfill to closing
  • Manage various stages of production in new home construction
  • Review and maintain working drawings, specifications, scopes, construction details, and sales details
  • Complete checklists including: Builder Frame Checklist, 1st Handy, 2nd Handy, Builder Punchout Checklists, Movein Ready, Predelivery Inspections
  • Manage the lot schedule and trade management
  • Ensure Caivan's quality standards and Caivan Performance guidelines are maintained and perform daily quality checks on production homes
  • Support the Project Manager(s) with preparation of city inspections
  • Conduct site tours, safety inspections and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
  • Report any daytoday problems on the job site (as they arise) to the Project Manager(s)
  • Contribute to overall site cleanup and cleanliness
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade partners
  • Perform other duties as required.

You will bring:

  • Postsecondary education in construction, project management or related field
  • 25 years' experience in low rise construction in a similar role
  • Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule
  • Ability to assist with supporting construction teams, monitoring progress, providing reports and assisting in ensuring compliance to our safety policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, AutoCAD, and other related management software
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Sense of urgency: ability to efficiently meet project deadlines
  • Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Be prepared to attend internal weekly meetings held by management
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Strong analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to read and fully comprehend construction drawings
  • Must have good time management, multitasking, and stress management skills to be able to ensure that tasks get completed on time
  • Valid Driver's License
