About the opportunity:

Blu Ivy Group is on the hunt for a results driven and confident Financial Controller to support our growth.

This position is responsible for full cycle accounting operations, including but not limited to bookkeeping, financial accounting, forecasting revenue, streamlining our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reporting, promote regulatory compliance and drive income generation.


In this role you will:

  • Analyze and recommend appropriate backoffice systems to keep up with the growth of the company (e.g. general ledger, billing systems, contract tracking, project accounting, time reporting, etc.)
  • Design and implement sound internal controls in support of a fastgrowing organization to minimize overall risk
  • Manage full cycle accounting and reporting including the generation of monthly financial statements, and management and operational reports, including appropriate variance analysis.
  • Manage the cash management process within the company including the daytoday banking relationship, collections and cash forecasting
  • Lead the annual and periodic budgets/forecasts and financial planning processes
  • Manage year end periodic tax filings in various jurisdiction where the company operates
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Act as a collaborative business partner to the leadership team
  • Play advisory role to other departments in financial and accounting matters
  • Support the CFO in various financial and operational projects

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA)
  • Proven track record in providing full cycle accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with industry experience which should include a minimum of 5 years of progressive senior management experience
  • Current knowledge of accounting standards and operational best practices in
    Canada and USA:
  • Self-directed and independent, as well as experience working effectively as an inter-disciplinary team member and in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills, and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Superior organizational, numeracy, analytical, and problemsolving abilities
