About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Health Services Director, Rehabilitation & Supportive Care, the Rehabilitation Quality Leader provides quality leadership for all services provided by the Rehabilitation Program affiliated with the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation & Arthritis Centre (NSRAC), Central Zone.

This role promotes fundamental improvements and innovation to quality management practices enhancing overall quality performance and care delivery for patients and families.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate degree in a health specific field and/or equivalent in education and experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Health Care Discipline
  • Appropriate licensure/membership in professional organization.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in applied analytical activities, strategic planning, project management, facilities planning, program development and evaluation, or quality management in a health care setting.
  • Progressive clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, coordination and group facilitation
  • Experience in working with senior administration and clinicians in collaborative/partnership activities
  • Experience in a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and or Quality setting preferred.
  • Demonstrates experience in project management and evaluation, redesign and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of health care delivery systems in various hospital and community settings.
  • Clinical experience in a hospital/healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the interrelationships of clinical and supportive hospital departments and services involved in program delivery.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in data management, statistical manipulation, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise and understanding of physical rehabilitation and unique data systems
  • Knowledge of MIS Standards.
  • Knowledge of the CIHI and associate databases.
  • Knowledge of Accreditation Canada and the accreditation process and standards

  • Demonstrates understanding of the interrelationship of health care organization departments and services in program delivery
  • Understanding of health care organization funding
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent team building and group management skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, communication skills and presentation skills
  • Welldeveloped decision making, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience drafting and submitting grant proposals
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures and commitment to the protection of personal health information
