Job Summary:

Drive innovation in course development and technology integration. Collaborate with faculty to craft engaging courses and ensure adherence to university standards. Lead training sessions to empower faculty and staff in utilizing LMS and academic technologies effectively. Foster a culture of excellence and collaboration in education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program leaders and experts to develop high-quality courses for diverse delivery methods.
  • Apply best practices in design and assessment.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on materials and tech.
  • Utilize LMS tools for content creation and assist in video editing.
  • Keep teams informed on design progress and tech updates.
  • Advocate for accessibility and copyright compliance.
  • Contribute to training initiatives and academic committees.
  • Stay updated through continuous learning and professional development.

  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in instructional design.
  • Knowledge of current and innovative trends in academic technology and instructional design principles in face-to-face, online, and mixed-mode environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methods, Universal Design for Learning principles, and ADA compliance.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, taking and giving constructive feedback.
  • Experience with supporting learning management systems (preferably D2L Brightspace) and academic technology tools.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills in support of a diverse population of faculty and students.
  • Proven time management skills, ability to adjust to changing workloads and priorities, and ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to promote the effective use of systems and academic technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with software tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Express and Premiere Pro) and MS Office 365.
