Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Performing inventory control duties including monitoring tools, equipment and material distribution to technicians
  • Picking up and delivering materials to job sites as required
  • Ordering (purchasing), receiving and posting materials/parts to work orders and inventory system
  • Entering new parts into our systems, ensuring accurate costs and descriptions.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Technicians to deliver timely ordering of parts and equipment as required
  • Regularly following up on expected deliveries (ETA's) and communicating this information to the appropriate project lead
  • Ensuring program discounts from manufacturers or distributors are properly applied to any orders
  • Ensuring pricing changes or adjustments are communicated to management as appropriate
  • Managing tools, including maintaining the signin/out records, repairs, etc.
  • Maintaining and organizing the physical warehouse inventory
  • Monitoring product warranties and inventory levels to enable timely installations and emergency service
  • Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality and delivery
  • Operating a forklift to load/unload/store product
  • Organizing tasks, prioritizing work, being flexible and working independently with mínimal supervision
  • Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
  • Analyze inventory reports and prepare reconciliations.
  • Provide backup administrative duties as needed, including answering telephones
  • Maintaining and coordinating the fleet vehicles, ensuring vehicle inspections are up to date, booking service appointments, coordinating vehicle needs among staff, etc.

Required Skills/ Experience

  • Previous inventory management experience required minimum 2 years
  • Strong MS Excel and computer skills
  • Previous office experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential
  • Postsecondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Willingness to travel to sites
  • Previous forklift experience or willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift 70lb multiple times per day
