Description
Alpha Ministries Canada, a national Christian non-profit organization with an office in New Westminster, BC.

As Scrum Master - Technical Project Manager, you will be joining a product team that is responsible for building digital solutions for churches worldwide.

You will play an essential role in facilitating and shaping our agile implementation approach, and ensuring that the product teams remain engaged, efficient and successful.

You will be part of a supportive, innovative, stimulating environment where you can further contribute to the success of the teams and Alpha's mission overall.


What you get to do:

  • Leading the team's practice of Agile principles & methodology
  • Working closely with the Product Owner to define and enable team's clear understanding of its objectives
  • Ensuring work items/stories are described in sufficient detail
  • Facilitating standups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrumrelated meetings
  • Identifying and removing impediments to team's success
  • Ensuring the team's workboards are uptodate and all team's work is reflected
  • Establishing a positive team environment by building trust and creating transparency
  • Monitoring and reporting on team's progress
  • Collaborating with Business Analyst to document and communicate releases
  • Coordinating safe global rollout of features utilising feature flags
  • Incorporating lessons learned and continuous improvements into the delivery cycle

What we'd love to see

  • Minimum of three years experience in scrum master role
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management or another related field.
  • Experience in implementing Agile in distributed/remote teams
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps and other management tools
  • Familiar with DevOps practices
  • Understand Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent communication & coaching skills
  • Disciplined & organized in task management
  • Able to present challenges & solutions with a positive outlook
