Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (plus rotating OT on weekends as needed)

Please note, because of the business demand, when the Dye-Sublimation equipment is not operating employees in this position will be assigned to other positions in the finishing department_

The laser cutter operator (dye sublimation) will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating laser cutter according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety and quality guidelines.
  • Solving setting and cutting adjustments to digital operation of laser to keep quality, size, and production speed at optimum.
  • Receiving production order and job assignments from supervisor. Read order to verify quantity to run and overrun tolerance.
  • Setting up laser according to established company guidelines, safety and job requirements.
  • Securing supervisors' approval for production run.
  • Completing production run, including overruns and production samples.
  • Completing production records, as required.
  • Ensuring proper cleanliness of laser, work station, and immediate dye sublimation area by returning materials to proper location, removing trash, and ensuring safety systems on laser are operating properly.
  • Manual material handling up to 50 pounds of paper or fabric rolls (floor to waist).
  • Training and cross training operators.
  • Any and all other duties that may be required.
  • Possess a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical demands include: ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Computer experience with setup, programming machines, or programmable logistic controls.
