Summary

At Apex Muskoka, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer resort-style service to our elite clientele.

Reporting to the Grounds Coordinators, this position is responsible for ensuring our service and brand standards are being upheld across all client properties.

Including but not limited to lawn care, gardens, restocking firewood, cleaning boathouses and recreations toys etc.

This is a seasonal position with the ability to extend and or return.

Job Duties

• Mow, trim and edge lawns
• Blow lawns, gardens, walkways and driveway
• Trim berms and trees as required
• Ensure all river rock is clear
• Pressure wash driveway and walkways
• Ensure cleanliness of docks and decks
• Clean and empty firepits
• Rinse recycling bins, bear bins and garbage cans as needed
• Assist with the cleaning of eavestroughs
• Ensure shoreline is clear of garbage and storm debris
• Assist Gardeners as needed
• Ensure cleanliness of outdoor furniture
• Cut and stack firewood when needed
• Remove garbage and recycling from property
• Pick up sticks and storm debris when necessary
• Touch up paint as required
• Ensure cleanliness of building exteriors
• Responsible for the cleanliness of inflatables and recreation equipment
• Inform grounds coordinator when repairs or pest control are needed
• Assist with opening and closing properties

Additional Duties

• Conduct weekly checks for all spas
• Ensure cleanliness of spas
• Ensure safe spa chemical procedures, including storage and use
• All record keeping associated with spa management

Requirements:

• 2 years of grounds maintenance experience preferred
• Certified Pool and Spa Operators Course preferred
• Pleasure Craft Operators License
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Ability to follow dress code
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Able to work with clients sensitively and professionally at all times
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check

Work Conditions

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
• Ability to work Monday through Friday
• Overtime as required
• Hazards associated with the trade
• Work entirely outdoors in all conditions

$21.00-$23.00 per hour
