Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage ISO 9001 regulatory compliance for the site.
  • Manage enterprise process compliance for Ottawa (review MiS policies and procedures, perform gap analyses and implement gap closure plans, when required).
  • Site PoC for 1st party, 2nd party, 3rd party audits, site audit preparation. Respond to any major/minor findings.
  • Conduct site quality management system reviews.
  • Monthly site data reporting (upload) to MiS Control Tower. Respond to requests for information from Mission Systems (e.g. playbook site QMS maturity assessment).
  • Site KPI data collecting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of local quality process documentation and records (maintain a SharePoint repository).
  • Responsible for product quality and inspection; work closely with Ops / Manufacturing. Creation and maintenance of product quality inspection documentation.
  • Responsible for all quality operations for product repairs and associated SAP transactions (in FIT). Attend biweekly Avionics MRO Best Practice Meetings as site PoC.
  • GIDEP PoC for site.
  • PoC for site for flow down of changes to Mission Systems process documents (incl document reviews/comments, ballots, meetings).
  • Review of quality requirements for contracts (as needed).
  • Responsible for customer quality issues, including NoE process, customer corrective actions, customer audits, customer comments/feedback, etc.
  • Respond to customer quality questionnaires and surveys.
  • Supplier quality: Issue of SCARs to vendors, review of FAIRs.
  • Oversight/monitoring of calibration of test equipment.
  • Operate a lowvolume producer quality clinic and maintain certification.
  • Conduct monthly Ottawa CAB meetings and MRB meetings (as required).
  • Manage Customer Owned Property records and annual audits.
  • Track annual training requirements for Quality/Ops personnel for ESD, FOD, CAB, MRB, and Quality Clinics
  • This role is 100% onsite. Must be able to work onsite.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
    or **an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
    or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen
  • Must either hold or be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret Level Security Clearance and Controlled Good Access.
