Position Overview:


We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Houseware/Hardware Associate at our Caledonia location.

This position will primarily focus on assisting customers in the houseware and hardware departments, providing product knowledge, and delivering exceptional service.


Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers in finding houseware and hardware products, including kitchenware, home organization items, tools, and hardware supplies.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding product selection, usage, and maintenance.
  • Use computer systems to check inventory, locate specific items, and process special orders as needed.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
  • Maintain a clean and organized houseware and hardware department, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and product offerings in the houseware and hardware departments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail experience, especially in a houseware, hardware, or related industry, is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a helpful and friendly attitude.
  • Knowledge of houseware and hardware products, including basic understanding of tools and home improvement supplies.
  • Ability to communicate product information effectively to customers.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in using a cash register.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type:

From $16.55 per hour
