Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the coordination of the sales activities and sales and support staff selling Construction, Forestry and Utility products represented by the company.
The
Regional Sales Manager's functions are integrated in planning and implementation of sales, communication, customer development, salesman development and management for the sale and support of new and used equipment.
Surrey, BC.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Training, coaching, and monitoring the salespeople on Impact Sales processes and business plan development.
- Monitoring results and consulting with Management at all levels.
- Ensure the implementation of corporate initiatives, policies and procedures, and business processes by proper communication, education, and training.
- Assist in sales presentations and quotations and provide recommendations for change if necessary.
- Develop and maintain a training program for CFU products represented by SMS.
- Identify business opportunities and potential problem areas.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities and transactions and evaluate data to ensure sales goals are met.
- Manages the sales staff for maximum performance and territory coverage.
- Consult with Corporate Sales to develop sales strategies and recommendations to manufacturers to support corporate sales targets and stakeholder market shares.
- Consult with Finance group to develop financing programs that meet market requirements and maintain corporate guidelines on credit granting.
- Identify specific market growth opportunities, market threats, and challenges.
- Provide proactive recommendations for the market segment based on anticipated developments.
- Responsible for monitoring and assisting Corporate Sales in market forecasting.
- Monitor competitor activities and participate in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
- Obtain market share sales growth and market awareness within the region based on established targets as set by the General Manager at the start of the year as part of the annual budgeting process.
- Ensure new and used equipment and attachments are managed effectively by keeping aged values within the parameters established by management.
- Responsible for the daytoday sales activities primarily for the Construction, Forestry& Utility market segments while assisting the Mining and Product Support sales representatives when appropriate; aligning with the objectives and directives of the Company.
- Ensures all customers are handled with a high degree of professional courtesy.
Qualifications:
- Ability to set objectives in a cooperative environment which are realistic but aggressive.
- Demonstrate a strength and competency in impacting and influencing others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to emphasize corporate values, mission and longterm goals rather than short term objectives or perspectives.
- Effectively operate in a high energy, urgent, and at times stressful environment.
- Skillfully utilize the skills of subordinate sales associates to accomplish corporate objectives; provide a degree of supervision, support, and accessibility.
