The Burnt Tongue is a warm and welcoming restaurant that serves fresh salads, sandwiches, and an ever-changing selection of unique soups.

As a Soup Maker/Prep Cook, you will play a key role in achieving our goal of providing exceptional food to each of our guests with the support of your fellow Team Members.

We are an ambitious group and are seeking like-minded, driven people to join our Team at our Commissary Kitchen in Westdale.

What we look for in our Commissary Kitchen Team Members:

  • 6 to 8 years kitchen experience
  • Strong knife skills
  • Driver's licence and food handler certificate
  • A teamfirst mentality and affinity for working and succeeding with others
  • An ability to multitask in a fastpaced kitchen environment
  • Ambition, drive, and a hunger for learning and facing challenges
  • A sense of humour and a craving for having fun at work
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Proper hygiene
  • Culinary education is an asset

What our Commissary Kitchen Team Members are responsible for:

  • Efficiently preparing high-quality food items in a sanitary and consistent manner
  • Following health & safety protocols and operating kitchen equipment safely
  • Minimizing food waste and the environmental impact of our kitchen
  • Maintaining a clean a presentable kitchen
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to assist other Team Members
