WHAT'S THE JOB?

ASPECT Structural Engineers is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their Marketing & Communications team. This role reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and can be based in Toronto, Ontario or Vancouver, BC.

A BIT ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a professional graphic designer and visual storyteller with a keen eye for detail. They have a strong portfolio and are seeking an opportunity to showcase their design skills. The candidate must be adaptable, welcome feedback, and excel in both independent and team settings. Balancing deadlines is a strong suit, and organizational skills are top-notch.

When not seeking design inspiration online, the candidate enjoys experimenting with new design techniques and tools. They thrive on variety in projects, from video to editorial to illustration, and enjoy bringing fresh ideas to the table.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop brand-forward marketing graphics for digital and print media.
  • Create accessible internal communications graphics for company-wide use.
  • Establish design templates for internal and external use.
  • Manage project photo libraries and collaborate with external vendors for photography needs.
  • Produce infographics, videos, and other graphic collateral.
  • Assist in creating presentation decks and updating website graphics.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • 3-5 years of graphic design experience.
  • Degree/diploma in graphic design, visual design, or illustration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Sharp design sense and ability to generate creative content.
  • Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in UX or UI design is a plus.
