Matrix is hiring local Journeyman Pipefitters for an exciting long-term project in Halifax, NS. This position offers weekends off to allow for work/life balance. The salary is $37.12/hr (due to increase by 15%).

The Pipefitters will be working indoors in a controlled environment. Additional overtime is being offered for this position. This position includes an excellent compensation package and a medical, dental, and vision plan. Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.

Requirements:

  • Experience in carpentry.
  • Fall protection ticket.
  • Confined space entry ticket.


 WHMIS 201
  • HSE orientation.
  • ISI Medium Voltage Cable Training.
  • ISI Lockout Tag Training.
  • ISI Security Orientation (inperson).
  • Must be able to commute to work daily.

Qualifications:

  • A preemployment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check will need to be completed.
  • Full PPE + Fit Tested Respirator Mask.
