Our client, the first and only company in North America to receive the UL 1974, the Standard for Evaluation for Repurposing Batteries, is looking for a Battery Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are from 9 am to 5:00 pm and are offering 80 K to 90K depending on the experience. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with the right skills - Apply today

1. Assisting a TDS Project Coordinator in the verification of models and drawings for projects that are assigned.
2. Characterization of battery modules and creation of novel testing techniques.
3. Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems for energy storage.
4. Creating novel hardware testing benches to evaluate battery modules.
5. Developing PLC software and electrical integration to execute test scripts.
6. Formulating and implementing test strategies for cellular or component characterization.
7. Data analysis and performance benchmarking: formulating suggestions for product design.
8. Assisting in the creation of novel battery characterization and modeling.
9. Work on FMEA and help with test outcomes.
10. Encourage the creation of new test benches at the system, BMS HIL, and component levels.

1. Engineering BASc. or equivalent.
2. Previous experience with charge/discharge curves and lithium-ion battery systems.
3. Knowledge of battery equipment, such as charge controllers, inverters, and BMS.
4. Three years of expertise using high-power electrical equipment in a testing setting.
