_Overall Responsibilities_


The QC Technician will be responsible for sampling all inventory material and performing minor laboratory activities in both Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory.


_Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties_
- _

  • To follow instructions and procedures as outlined by the Microbiology Supervisor
  • To perform daily sampling of raw materials and purchased items upon receiving
  • To perform daily sampling of manufactured items and finished goods upon completion
  • To maintain overall sanitation of the sampling booths and their contents
  • To maintain quality documentation logs and checklists
  • To maintain laboratory tracking system log of sampled goods
  • To be able to transition into the chemistry or microbiology laboratory based on Microbiology Supervisor's discretion, performing minor lab testing activities (i.e. Physical testing, media preparation, administration duties)
  • Working in compliance with the company' s Health & Safety Policies/SOP's including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure
  • Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities
  • To perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma required
  • Post-Secondary diploma in laboratory sciences an asset
  • Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly
  • Strong command of the English language preferred
  • Work independently and with mínimal supervision
  • Able to work shift work and to work overtime to complete projects in a timely fashion as required
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Must have own transportation to sample products at Twin Oaks
