Job Description:

The Staging Technician is a member of the Staging team and reports to the department Supervisor. Utilizing company-provided tools and resources the Technician is responsible for maintaining daily staging of communication equipment racks. Duties include working directly with Engineer Leads and Sr. Staging Technican to ensure the assigned project timelines and deliverables are met on an individual basis.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Unpacking and inspecting units for shipping damage and DOA units.
  • Program installation and configuration (if required).
  • Rack Assembling and cable management
  • Following drawings and assembling within standards
  • Following equipment calibration requirements.

COMPETENCIES:

  • General knowledge of communication systems and network connectivity.
  • Priority Setting.
  • Time Management.
  • Drive for personal results.
  • Maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe workspace.
  • Punctual with a readytowork attitude.
  • Ability to maintain composure during highvolume output.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1+ year(s) experience in a staging, production or systems support environment.
  • Minimum 1+ year(s) working knowledge with hardware, peripheral support and connectivity.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and deal with ambiguity are required.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner.
  • Must be coachable and able to take direction.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift boxes up 25 pounds, walk quickly between inventory area and staging workstation and sit/stand for long periods of time.
