Immediate need for shipper and receiver seeking

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Team Leader, the position performs a variety of shipping and receiving functions to ensure products are delivered to the customer.

These duties include but are not limited to determining the shipment method, calling for freight rates, assembling boxes, placing boxes on skids, loading trucks, and wrapping and labeling rolls.

The remaining points are inserted under the duties and responsibilities section.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1.

Assembles containers and crates, records contents in ERP system, packs goods with tape or straps to be shipped as per standards and to minimize shipping damage.

2. Affixes identifying information and shipping instructions such as labels, and markings and ensures the information is accurate.
3. Determines how many trucks are needed, the amount of time and the price to deliver the customer's product.
4. Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices.

Records shortages and notifies the quality department of damaged goods and obtains instructions from Warehouse Team Lead on how to handle damaged receipts.

5. Assists driver with unloading of goods and unpacks, records, and delivers goods to appropriate storage areas.
6.

Operates forklift, pole trucks, pump carts, dollies etc., to load, unload, transport, and store goods as per operating and safety standards.

7. Responsible for ensuring that the customer's product is delivered on time and to the right destination.
8. Assist in fabrication of shipments.
9. Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
10. Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
Mental

Qualifications:

Education :
High school diploma or vocational equivalent
3+ years' experience completing bills of lading, obtaining freight rates, loading, and unloading trucks, and operating various forklifts.

Skills and Abilities Essential:
Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.
Problem solving abilities resolve conflicts and problems.
Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain an excellent rapport with suppliers etc.

Ability to pack and unpack boxes, cover rolls, load, and unload trucks.
