Clean Harbors in Grande Prairie AB is seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join their safety-oriented team. The chosen candidate will be accountable for conducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the company's fleet of light-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and equipment.

  • Ensure proper securing of all equipment before commencing work or repairs, such as using chock blocks and jack stands
  • Address equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
  • Thoroughly inspect equipment, identify needed repairs, and conduct routine and specific maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, light-duty, and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or damaged parts
  • Fit and adjust new or mended parts
  • Carry out required CVIP inspections
  • Complete and submit all necessary paperwork for tracking Preventative Maintenance schedules
  • Ensure the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the workshop area at all times
  • Requirements:
  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks is advantageous
  • Current CVIP certification or willingness to obtain it upon hiring
  • Prior experience in quoting jobs is preferred
  • Must hold a Class 5 Driver's License
