Job Description

AECOM's Environment Team is actively looking for an Environmental Planner with expertise in managing infrastructure projects involving environmental assessments in Alberta and impact assessments at the federal level. The ideal candidate should have a background in:

  • Developing and implementing engagement and consultation programs
  • Coordinating environmental specialists
  • Identifying and evaluating environmental features, constraints, alternatives, potential effects, mitigation measures, and avoidance opportunities

We are seeking individuals who are motivated, accountable, and excel in teamwork and communication. Strong project management skills, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are crucial.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Lead projects and environmental management tasks throughout the project life cycle
  • Engage in federal IAs and municipal/provincial EAs
  • Interact with clients and agencies
  • Collaborate with technical and professional colleagues
  • Organize, participate in, and document project meetings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in environmental impact assessment and relevant legislation
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Strong communication and project management abilities
