_ POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES_

  • Undertake cleaning, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and washing of all public areas of the building, including all hallways, walkways and lobby, elevators, bicycle room, mailroom, and mechanical room.
  • Clean and organize public sundecks and patios, including cleaning BBQ and pool deck, Tenant Lounge.
  • Clean/wash gym equipment. Dust exterior and wet wash interior of accessible lockers in men's and women's change rooms.
  • Empty garbage bins and clean/sweep garbage area.
  • Clean fire hose cabinets and extinguishers on each floor.
  • Use floor cleaning equipment such as buffer/shampooer.
  • Maintaining and upkeep all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products.
  • Ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products.
  • Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy.
  • Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on organizational requirements_.
  • High School Diploma
  • WHMIS, Working at Heights, Standard First Aid qualifications is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in a maintenance or cleaning role


 English
  • Fluent. Bilingual (French) is an asset
  • Excellent cleaning skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Safety Awareness

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Needs to be able to lift, push and pull heavy objects (up to 50lbs for cleaning and maintenance purposes).
  • Needs to be able to stand, sit, and stoop for long periods.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
