This role involves responding to emergency calls and maintaining a flexible schedule that may include irregular shifts to safeguard a 24/7 operation, building strong relationships with various officials and industry partners to bolster CN's operations.

  • Identify high-risk areas and create action plans to enhance security and prevent losses
  • Conduct investigations and handle criminal incidents, actively supporting the enforcement of railway safety regulations
  • Be available for shifts, weekends, and holiday work as needed
Completion of an accredited law enforcement program or equivalent is required, along with:
  • A valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and law enforcement agencies
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in English and French
*Any relevant experience, education, skills, or knowledge related to the above requirements would be an advantage.
Undertake on-the-job training under a Coach Officer, with successful candidates without a certificate from an accredited police college needing to complete a 3-month training program at the Ontario Police College.
