Position Description:

Take top priority in customer experience by being our personalized expert in providing glasses frame selection, styling, and fitting, while being knowledgeable in lens selection, warranties, and providing accurate measurements and inventory management.

Your primary responsibilities will include helping patients select and fit eyeglasses, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.


Position Expectations:

  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner while building personalized rapport.
  • Assist patients with personalized frame selection, styling, and fitting, with a special interest in elevating their comfort and style.
  • Provide individualized discussions and recommendations regarding lens selection based on lifestyle needs, and provide accurate and repeatable measurements.
  • Strong understanding of lens designs, lens coatings, lens materials, tints, and always willing to keep uptodate with new product information and education.
  • Complete eyeglass purchasing processes efficiently and accurately, including lab ordering, insurance billing, payment collection and receipts delivery.
  • Verify prescription eyeglasses through use of a lensometer (manual and automatic) to ensure quality and accuracy of the product.
  • Dispense, adjust and repair eyewear with care.
  • Communicate and instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses.
  • Take top priority in customer experience by troubleshooting and problem solving with eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Liaise and coordinate with frame suppliers and develop an inventory management system for profitability and good turnover of product including frame returns and vendor selection.
  • Merchandise dispensary and maintain cleaning procedures and standards.
  • Analyze pricing and products in relation to patient trends and competitors' offers and make recommendations as needed.
  • Assist the team in the development of objectives and plans for ongoing dispensary activities and sales goals.
  • Track and report key revenue indicators and results as requested.
  • Complete thirdparty insurance billing and patient financial records.
  • Participate in personal and team development training and initiatives, including staff meetings, continuing education, and performance evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, leadership team, suppliers, patients, and the general public.
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures, and privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Optometric Dispenser or in a similar role is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of optometry and optical systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in retail sales techniques
  • Basic understanding of medical records management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
