The opportunity

  • This contract opportunity is part of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and anticipated to start by end Ferbruary if we are the successful vendor.
  • This contract is a hybrid opportunity that will last 36 months (12 month renewable).

What you will do:

  • Advise users in their evolution, improvement and maintenance needs;
  • Gather user needs and develop a list of requirements that will serve as input to the analysis;
  • Read the functional architecture file(s) or product booklet;
  • Support users in understanding and validating requirements;
  • Provide support to the pilot/product/business area manager (acceptance testing, solution implementation and integration) and other development team members;
  • Propose functional solutions that meet the Department's requirements;
  • Write functional specifications and/or stories in accordance with the architectures;
  • Modify or develop system documentation;
  • Coordinate the completion and implementation of a set of change requests;
  • Design, write and document functional test scenarios, perform them and validate the results;
  • Ensure quality assurance;
  • Participate in the realization of prototypes to establish the customer experience;
  • Participate in the realization of "sprints" by supporting the developers and validating the "story";
  • Maintain an iteractive work plan (breakdown, time estimate) for the project;
  • Maintain priorities with the project manager;
  • Collaborate in the delivery of a code that meets the needs of the department;
  • Participate in integrated testing and prepare test data;
  • Provide support for user testing;
  • Participate in project meetings or recurring project or system maintenance and evolution activities;
  • Carry out the necessary steps and followup for the management of the components in the environments;
  • Support the implementation of programming and/or programming/analysis work;
  • Support the user in system testing and in the production of the solution;
  • Implement the solution;
  • Any other responsibilities that fall under this level of intervention.

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of information technology and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a functional analyst within the last five (5) years.
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in computer science or in a discipline related to the profile and recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. Equivalence according to government standards is accepted;
  • Have used a development methodology structure using methodologies such as Macroscope and Agile or similar methodologies.
