Overview

  • The
    Grounds person will carry out scheduled ground maintenance work. In this role, you will report to the Aggregates Production Lead Hand and will work cooperatively with the Saskatoon Aggregates team.
    Responsibilities
  • Perform several types of manual work.
  • Handle materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate automotive vehicles and small mobile equipment such as a skid steer when required.
  • Shovel spillage around conveyors.
  • Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment.
  • Seek out and implement Best Practices.
  • Create an atmosphere of teamwork and ensure the development of personnel and arbitrate to resolve conflicts.
  • Identify and communicate product problems and information.

  • Ensure safety goals are achieved.
  • Comply with all company safety rules.

Qualifications

  • Capable of working in an outdoor environment year round.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards teamwork and safety.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge in general maintenance work.
