The salary range for this position is CAD $39.CAD $49.Come work as a Respiratory Therapy Clinical Resource Therapist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Respiratory Therapy Clinical Resource Therapist to join the team at Dogwood Lodge in Vancouver, BC.

As a Respiratory Therapy Clinical Resource Therapist at Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

Be specializing in advanced practice interventions from a respiratory therapy perspective.

Provide advanced practice, complex case consultation, clinical guidance and education for Respiratory Therapists and multidisciplinary staff working at the designated site; Monitor and update Respiratory Therapy equipment and supplies regularly and provide education to RT staff re practice and or equipment updates.

Initiate and participate in knowledge translation activities and facilitate an evidence based culture and community of practice.
Carry a regularly assigned clinical caseload as part of the hospital's Respiratory Therapy team.
Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada Credentialing Exam.

Five (5) years' recent, related experience as an advanced practitioner and/or clinical instructor in advanced respiratory therapy interventions, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory therapy theory, and practice within a client and family centred model.
Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based respiratory therapy practice.
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation as pertaining to respiratory therapy practice.
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable VCH clinical practice guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Comprehensive knowledge of teaching/guiding/coaching approaches and strategies to include tele-health and on-line mediums.
Comprehensive knowledge of adult education principles, methods and tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.

Demonstrated ability to communicate with (both verbally and in writing), and to deal effectively with co-workers, physicians, other health care professionals, clients and their families, and external agencies.

Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and implement new projects.
Demonstrated skill and ability to operate related equipment and techniques appropriate to clinical areas.
Computer literacy to lead technology based practice education and support.
Valid Driver's License and access to personal car may be required.

As per the current Public Health Orders, as of October 5, 2023, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received a single dose of the most-recent, updated COVID-19 vaccine.

Proof of vaccination status will be required.
