In this position you will prepare and operate multiple CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.

to within close tolerances.

In addition, you will produce high quality parts and materials by running/programming machines to perform the proper operations and by reading and interpreting blueprints.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain tooling in peak condition.
  • Understand specifications and the desired result by reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines
  • Supervise the machine while it executes the program and make any necessary adjustments to produce the desired result
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process was completed properly
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repair if required
  • Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating any actions taken or needed
  • Provide key information on machining operation for maintenance during troubleshooting
  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting to Manufacturing Technicians as their primary resource
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis on nonconformance and scrap events. Communicate as required with Team Leader, Quality Analyst and Programming support on findings and correct dispositioning
  • Support process manufacturing capability studies and improvement projects
  • Act as primary point of contact for operations representation in manufacturing reviews
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing processes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to recognize upcoming challenges and plan accordingly
  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and activities while prioritizing according to requirements
  • Ability to operate and deliver under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Understands, writes and speaks basic and technical English
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Minimal travel may be required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machines
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem solving

Job Types:

Salary:
$21.46-$30.00 per hour
