Job Summary:


As a Sales Assistant member, the Sales Assistant is accountable for the following core responsibilities: assisting the Area Sales Representative during the sales process, providing an excellent customer service experience for prospective and new buyers from pre-possession to post-possession.


Responsibilities:


The Sales Assistant performs some or all of the following duties related to three core areas: Area Representation, Client Services and Sales.

Area Representation

  • Assist in the competition analysis regularly by researching, shopping, and visiting competitors' sites.
  • Ensure all signage is in place as required, including job signs and their current status.
  • Ensure handouts/brochures are available.
  • Maintain showhome visual interior and exterior presentation.
  • Obtain updated information on our current specifications.
  • Client Services
  • Greet prospects and existing clients.
  • Cultivate the relationship with prospective buyers.
  • Assist ASR with all clients throughout the home buying process, from prospect to purchase to possession and postpossession.
  • Ensure realistic and complete expectations for clients are established regarding the new home sales and construction process and their role in that process.
  • Inform prospects on the benefits of our product.
  • Build realtor relationships.

  • Assist in selling the company product with accurate and up to date knowledge of the company and its products, including models, model options, pricing and lots, showhome or sales center features and standard specifications, builder warranty program, terms and conditions, financing options; along with area amenities and features, and competitor product and pricing, to effectively sell to both potential and existing clients.
  • Assist in recording new and returning visitors to the showhome through the prospect tracking system (ZOHO), gathering visitor contact information and utilizing company generated sales leads to followup with prospective clients in a timely manner.
  • Expectations
  • Ensure showhome is open during all showhome hours. It is expected that you will arrive fifteen minutes early to ensure you are ready and available upon opening time.
  • You will provide your fellow team member with the courteous call when you are engaged with a client that is potentially interested in another members area. This happens before a lot goes on hold and or is promised to your client.
  • Attend company initiated meetings (including weekly sales meetings), and training attendance is mandatory unless vacation has been approved. The company will endeavour to schedule an ASR's days off when the weekly sales meeting is not planned.
  • If not already obtained, you will work towards earning your PHBA New Home Sales Professional or certification.
  • You must understand and abide by the Hazard and Risk Assessment of the role.
Dress Code

  • Tops
  • Tops
must provide coverage to the chest, back and midriff. Examples of suitable tops are blazers, button-up, collared shirts, ties, tucked in shirts.

  • Bottoms
  • Clean and unfrayed pants, including dress pants, chinos, Dockers, dress shorts, capris and dark denim, are suitable. Dresses and skirts with a minimum length at or just above the knee are also acceptable.


Footwear

Footwearsuch as dress shoes (heels and flats), dress boots and dress sandals are suitable.

  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Able to perform necessary calculations and mathematical figures.
  • Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
