A serious incident can bankrupt a company. In the US roofing industry market (a focus), the fatality rate is 20X the industry average.

Our team of exceptional occupational safety and health professionals along with some of the world's most awesome software programmers and support staff develop, maintain, and continuously improve an award-winning web and mobile application that allows our clients to implement and maintain high-functioning safety management systems.

Do you want to join us in helping business owners send their workers home safely to their families at the end of every workday? About the Role:

You'll be a member of the revenue team and will regularly collaborate with marketing as well as client success and product development teams to accelerate our market growth and expansion.

As a Safety Professional/Sales you will be working with business owners and their key personnel to discover their risk gaps and other pain points, educate as required, and assist them through the decision-making process.

In most cases, appointments will be set for you however you will also be expected to conduct warm call outreach as necessary to fill your calendar.

The Key Performance Indicator for this position is the number of prospects converted to clients and revenue generated. Some of the things you can expect to do on a day-to-day basis:
  • Play a critical role as we find new clients to serve and expand across North America and beyond.
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Partnerships and other sales team members to execute sales plans and programming with various industry associations and other high-profile organizations.

    Using your safety knowledge and experience and a consultative discovery process, have meaningful conversations with business owners and influencers about their safety management challenges and risk exposures.

    Once pain points are isolated, invite prospects to explore how they can solve it and determine if 1Life is the right fit for them.

    Support prospects to optimize demo accounts to best close their risk gaps, perform regular check-ins, and close opportunities. Collaborate with the client success and software development teams to continuously improve our offering based on prospect and client feedback.
  • As required, source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound warm calls and emails.
Maintain detailed records in Salesforce.

You must be comfortable having direct conversations with business owners about their risk exposures that is driven by your deep interest in supporting them to keep their people safe and grow and excellent business.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

Practical safety management experience in high-risk commercial and industrial applications with a proven track record of successfully moving safety initiatives and culture forward.

Sales experience (which includes selling the 'idea of safety') and track record of getting stuff done and over-achieving goals. A genuine love for people and making their lives better.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a warm, enthusiastic phone presence.

Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation toolsExperience working with or similar CRM.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong listening and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Formal training in Safety Management Systems.
Proficient computer skills and aptitudeThe ability to travel across North America, 3-4 times per year.
