Internal Systems Support Specialist (Temporary, Full-Time)

Location - Alberta, Canada (Remote)

Duration - **10-Month Contract

  • Hours of Operation 9:00am6:00pm MST

Reports to - **Manager, Internal Systems

Quorum is currently looking for an Internal Systems Support Specialist to join our growing team.
Quorum's Internal Systems Support Specialist is responsible for the Windows server and communication infrastructure for the organization.

This role focuses on the administration, support, and optimization of the environment to ensure the availability, performance, integrity and security of all IT infrastructure and communication systems.

The Internal Systems Support Specialist contributes to the development of processes and procedures for ongoing management of the environment.

The successful Internal Systems Support Specialist will also collaborate across the organization to ensure the systems are designed and maintained appropriately to help achieve organizational goals and objectives.


THE COMPANY

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring incidents and changes are appropriately tracked and reported.
  • User administration and support across all areas the user exists.
  • Adhere to Internal Systems, Infrastructure, and Applications Change Management processes, Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Maintain ongoing training and/or certification requirements based on technologies in use.
  • Works with the team to implement, manage and support virtual infrastructure.
  • Able to work after office hours if required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Experience with server virtualization using Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Windows, Remote Desktop Services, and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with enterprise server technology, Dell PowerEdge architecture is considered an asset.
  • Experience in managing a Microsoft 365 environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Azure AD sync.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2019 and Windows 10.
  • Knowledge of SIP based protocols and PRI based telephony and PBX management is considered an asset.
  • Experience and good understanding of Microsoft Azure Hybrid cloud with good working knowledge of Azure administration is considered an asset
  • A good understanding of network technologies including DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and VPN.
  • A good understanding of firewall security including NAT policies and monitoring.
  • SQL Server Management is considered an asset.
  • Handson software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Documentation and collaboration skills.
  • Highly selfmotivated and directed and keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
